Ficus benghalensis ‘Audrey’
✨Did You Know?
The Tree That Becomes a Forest: Ficus Audrey belongs to the same species as the famous Great Banyan Tree of India! In nature, banyan trees can grow aerial roots that become new trunks, allowing a single tree to spread across an enormous area.
Nature's Velvet Touch: Unlike the glossy leaves of many other Ficus plants, Ficus Audrey features soft, velvety green leaves with delicate pale veins, giving it a luxurious, almost fabric-like appearance!
A Sacred Giant: Ficus Audrey belongs to the banyan species, which holds a special place in Indian culture and mythology. The banyan is India's national tree and symbolizes longevity, strength, and shelter.
☀️Ligh RequiREMENTS!
Best: Bright, indirect light to maintain healthy growth and lush green foliage.
Tolerates: Medium indirect light, although growth may slow and the plant may become less full.
Avoid: Harsh, direct afternoon sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Very low light may cause leaf drop
💧Water Requirements!
Frequency: Water when the top 1–2 inches (2–5 cm) of soil feel dry.
The Golden Rule: Water thoroughly until excess water drains from the bottom, then allow the upper soil to partially dry before watering again.
Danger Zone: Avoid overwatering or letting the plant sit in standing water. Constantly wet soil can cause yellowing leaves, root rot, and leaf drop.
